The patented ingredient 429 can best be described as a group of loosely associated biocides, all present in tiny amounts, attached to a polysiloxane (polymer) chain.
At the micro level 429 combats all micro organisms by forming a semi permanent alteration to surface tension enhanced by its microscopic content ofbiocides.
Formula 429 undermines the reproductive cycle of micro-organisms, and only focuses on the micro aspect. This is achieved through a constant disruption ofbiofilm formation, the process necessary for micro-organisms to reproduce, making attachment by microorganisms extremely difficult, ifnot impossible.
Formula 429 has no attendant risks of toxicity usually associated with other products which rely on chemical action alone. Undeniably, the main attribute of Formula 429 is the prolonged residual action of preventing viable colonies of micro-organisms from developing.
